About Tony
  • Education: I am a 1994 graduate of Valley Forge Christian College, in Pheonixville PA. An Assemblies of God college.
  • Experience: I have been an Associate/Youth pastor for six and a half years, 1994-2000,in various states...New Hampshire, New Jersey, Virginia, Vermont, and New York. This is my third pastorate (our first in Buffalo, NY and second in Clearfield, PA) and am still focused on growing in my talents and ability to better serve the Lord, and the Body of Christ.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Fellow co-laborers...These are the sermons which God has spoken to my heart for the people that I have ministered to. My prayer is that they might be useful to you in whole or in part. If nothing less, I hope that they will spark a thought for you to develope and deliver to the people you serve and minister to...something fresh and alive for your people to feed from!
  • One of my favorite illustrations: We are often tempted to give up before we see the results we desire in our lives. The bamboo farmers of Malaysia could teach us a lesson. It takes great wisdom and patience to cultivate a particular strain of a very valuable bamboo. How do they do it? In the first year, they plant the seed, water, and fertilize it. Nothing visible happens. In the second year, they continue to water and fertilize. Nothing visible happens in the second year either. In the third year, water and fertilizer
  • Family: I am married to the most beautiful woman and a true gift from God to me...Angela. Together, we are blessed with two great kids, Alex and Abbee.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Of course...they say they are the best! What else are they to think of their son???
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is my greatest cheerleader...and I thank God for such a wonderful helpmate and co-laborer in the Lord!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: To just preach from my heart, and allow the Lord to speak through me as a yeilded vessel. Additionally, my professor told us in preaching class that we should preach confidently, the Word of God because the whole word is anointed...don?t haggle over what to preach because it all speaks to mankind.
  • Books that have had an impact: "Fasting" by Jentezen Franklin, "Inspire The Fire" by Ron Luce, "Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire" by Jim Cymbala, "Revolution" by Dr. Michael Brown, "The Prayer of Jabez" and "Secrets of the Vine" by Dr. Bruce Wilkinson and any Max Lucado books.
  • Hobbies: Being with my family, computers, music, reading, and riding my motorcycle!
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus has come that you would not only have life, but life more abundantly! He has come to save the sinner, heal the sick and loose the bound up!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Nothing in particular...Maybe just my preaching in general:) Although, once when I was preaching about how we sometimes stumble about in our faith and with our Christian walk...so I was trying to be illustrative by stumbling and stagering around and one elderly lady in the congregation thought that I really was about to fall and screamed out in fear! Obviously, it caused the rest of the congregation to respond with laughter because they knew that I was only playing up the part.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He was found faithful with what he was given...
