About Tylor
  • Education: Besides my regular primary and secondary education I attended one year of college at Hyles-Anderson in Crown Point IN, One year at Crown College in Powell TN, and one year at Antioch in Knoxville. I finally received my degree from West End Baptist Bible college in Easly SC
  • Experience: I’ve been preaching since I was 13 so for almost 11 years. I’ve been in the bus ministry, Jr church, and taught a sunday school class ever since. Now I teach the adult sunday school calss and I Have been preaching in Public Schools for 6 years
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: don’t worry about copying them the Bible says there is no new thing under the sun so anything I could preach somebody’s already done it just make sure you put God first and not man’s opinion
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: God gave me a sermon about Mary going to the tomb that really I believe was for me because it talks about fear and uncertainty and triumph over it by just believing he is alive
  • One of my favorite illustrations: I used my cell phone like I was talking to God and we went over ways to get a better signal like things we could take out or put into our lives to boost signal
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They are glad I preach I was a bus kid growing up and they never really went to church with me the only time they ever heard me preach was my wedding
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: A man told me one time of a preacher boy who thought he was the best and got up all cocky and bombed and as he came down he told the boy if you went up like you came down you would of came down like you went up so go up humble and you’ll come down happy.
  • Books that have had an impact: I love John R. Rices book on prayer and the Foxes book of Martyrs I love to read old books becuase I feal that in this modern day’s of computers we’ve lost the true feeling in studying and defining Gods word for ourselves
  • Hobbies: I play and coach soccer and love to read God’s word and
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus plus something equals nothing Jesus plus nothing equals everything. Don’t try to make salvation hard it’s not anything you can do God did it all you have to trust him not yourself to get to heaven.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: not to me but my Pastor growing up was preaching on Moses and the 10 commandments and he picked up a potted plant like he was going to throw it to the ground and dirt went down his back.
