About Vonnie Elisha
  • Education: DMin (Pending) MA in Theological Studies MDiv B.A.in Theology & Journalism Four-Year Diploma in Ministerial Studies (MDiv Equ) B.A. in Theological Studies Certificate In Langham Preaching Level 3
  • Experience: He has been preaching and teaching since 2002
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Rev. Vonnie E. James is a Public Theologian, a Grenada Baptist Association Pastor, Religious Columnist, and Social Justice Advocate who mixes faith with intellect and 'Intercourse' theology with journalism to address social, political, and theological issues. Vonnie is a former President of the Grenada Baptist Association (GBA) and the former Chair (Ag) of the Conference of Churches in Grenada (CCG).
  • One of my favorite illustrations: The Gospel is like H20. It must be contextually shared. Otherwise, it will freeze when sharing as liquid water to those in cold areas and melt when sharing as solid ice to those in the tropics.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Provocative
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Keep it short.Stick to the script. Do not abuse the pulpit.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible. John Maxwell. Miles Munroe.
  • Hobbies: Reading, Researching, Writing/Blogging.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus is Lord. Reflect on the implications of this for your lives.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: A little child came up...wanted to take the mic...
  • What I want on my tombstone: Micah 6:8 (ESV) He obeyed; He served the church and wider society diligently. He sought justice, loved kindness, and walked humbly.
