HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Mat 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

A lot of trucks have a sticker on the back that says, "How's my driving? Call xxx-xxxx to report." This is supposed to make the driver accountable. I read that in Ireland, most people drive very, very courteously. They have roundabouts instead of lights (they do have some lights) where people have to courteously let others in the circle. This is something that doesn't work well here.

One man said that most people drove very well and were courteously except for one group that he called "white van man." These were people who drove company vehicles which were frequently unmarked white vans, and they didn't care how they treated the vehicle, let alone what havoc they cause with others. Because there was no company name or logo on these vans, they were anonymous drivers.

Some Christians are like these van drivers. We don't care how we act or who we hurt, we're anonymous. I remember a lady who was turning right at a light one day, as I was turning left. If you read your driver hand book you'll find that when you are turning right you turn into the outside lane and the person turning left into the inside lane. This is to keep traffic flowing. Well I turned into my lane and this lady flipped me off and cussed me out. The problem was that on the back glass of her car was a sticker that told the name of the church she attended.

If God were to place sticker on your back that asked, "How's my living?" or "How's my attitude?" what would others say about you?

Father may we live our lives before others in a way that honors You. It really does matter what people think because what they see in me determines how they see You. In Jesus Name...
