Though these are all true, or partially true, none of them is in the Bible. We have learned to treat man’s opinions with as much respect as the Bible.

- Mark Twain, not exactly a die-hard Christian, wrote these words: “Most people are bothered by those passages of Scripture they do not understand, but the passages that bother me most are those I do understand.”

- No matter how many times you have been through it, let it go through you.

- God’s word is like salt in the back of your car in the winter. It’s a lot more useful when you take it out and apply it.

- We get more out of the Bible when we let it get into us.
