Got an Attitude??

Scripture says this about your attitude:

"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death -- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

(Philippians 2: 5 - 11)

This is a message, a love letter from God if you will, for believers and unbelievers alike. Believers, be challenged by the fact that Jesus, God in human flesh, came to this earth the first time to be a humble servant. He went about doing good, healing, delivering, feeding. But all these things pale in comparison to his greatest act of humility and servant hood. No one could have taken his life from him... He gave his life for us. He willingly laid down his life on the cross for our sins. He had command of all the armies of heaven. Jesus said at his arrest, "Do you not think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?" (Matthew 26: 53) He had all the power in the universe at his fingertips yet restrained himself, even saying on the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
