My Mom was an amazing creature! She had eyes in the back of her head (“Don’t you look at me that way!”); the wisdom (and wrath!) of a Supreme Court Justice (used when I took away a sled from my kid brother); and an eternal tenderness for her kids that is still felt today (she always ended her phone calls with “I love you too, Tom"). As astounding as she was, it is astonishing to know that most of us have mothers with the same characteristics. Of all the multiple tasks and responsibilities assigned to mothers, one far outweighs them all: pointing their children to a saving relationship with God.
