Very interesting. I have a question. The first step according to this video is to ask the unbeliever if their life has measured up to all that they had wanted it to be. Is it as fulfilling as they wanted it to be. I guess I wonder how many believers, if they were being truly honest, would answer yes. To be honest, I don't think I would. I think it is more fulfilling now than it ever has been, and yet even now I have struggles personally, maritally, in my family, etc. I wonder how many believers would claim, "Yes, my life is so fulfilling." This may say something about me. Or does it say something about using this as a motivation? I'm just wondering (virtually) out loud.

I'm not a big fan of the God-shaped hole argument. I know a lot of pagans that are very happy with their life, and all of their toys. I also don't like the idea of pitching Jesus as a self-help tactic. Suppose hey "try Jesus" and he doesn't give hem their best life now?

Since Jesus came to set us free from sin and death (THEREBY providing a more abundant life, not filling a void), we might give the gospel a better chance of penetrating the unbelieving heart by probing for unresolved guilt and shame or fear of dying "before my time." Jesus is the answer to both!

Interesting... where does the actual gospel come into play? I may need to watch the video a third time, but I did not hear a Biblical gospel presentation in this, that Jesus is Lord, that He died and was resurrected so I can be freed from my sins to serve Him with my life. What I saw here was more of a "what can God do for me" view of the gospel.

We declare the Gospel, that's what we do. We share it and live it and preach it. We pray. Life happens and people seek solutions. The Holy Spirit does His work. That's it. You leave the matter in God's Hands. Only the Holy Spirit opens eyes.

I have not watched the video yet, but I wanted to share something with Edwin. My life is so fulfilling! God called me out of a world of drugs and self-worship to be a member of His family. I still have struggles (marriage, finances, etc) but I would say that it does not change the fulfillment aspect. When we give our lives to Christ, there is no promise that all our problems will go away, in fact we wind up with additional problems when we try to serve God, share our faith or be like Christ, but we are still fulfilled because He is our everything. I encourage all believers to see yourself as God does, not as the world does.
