The worst form of idol is Christianity with its make-believe at the expense of personal knowledge of God's self-revelation in Christ's death on the cross for personally baptizing with the Holy Spirit and making new disciples. (Matt. 27: 50-56; 28: 18-20)

Never heard of Chris Wright, but this is WRIGHT ON. Very succinctly put. (Also: "Mind the Gap" is a GREAT title.)

I think this is so true, but beware, it is not an easy task to get your parish to change. We started with using the Bible movie as our Lenten preparation for Easter. I had a woman call me and ask who Moses was and who are all those other people with him. Praise God that she ask. Working on spiritual side of our life is neglected.

So, what did you think?

Thank you.
