ILLUS: When I was a boy in school from time to time I would get into trouble. The first time I was sent to the principal’s office was a real education for me. By the way, back in those day they believed in spanking boys that did something wrong. So, another young man and I was sent to the office and we were waiting for the principal to come in.

Now this other young man gave me some wonderful advice. He said, "When the principal come in he will talk to us and then he will take out a wooden paddle from his desk. He will take one of us and make us bend over. The first time he hits you with the paddle – it is really going to hurt but as soon as he hits you, step in closer to him. He will not be able to get a full swing for the next hit....
