Denominational Loyalty has remained unexpectedly strong among those who attended church as children. The church preferences of the adults who did not attend a Christian congregation when young are more likely to attend Baptist churches and not mainline Protestant or Catholic churches. Barna Research notes that adults who were unchurched as kids are more likely to associate with churches of less than 100 adults than those who were churched as kids. (Barna Research Online 11/5/01)
