When you are born again, the Holy Spirit does not do a “renovation project” on you, but gives you a brand new life. It’s like the new home some of you visited last week. In Augusta, we renovated an older home with flooring, paint and fixtures. But here, we didn’t want to go through that costly process so we got a brand new home that we saw built from the foundation up. God has Ezekiel say to the people of God in Ezekiel 36:26-27 something similar to what Jesus is saying to Nicodemus in John 3:3-8.
