Calvin Coolidge

I was reading the other day. ‘Once, President Calvin Coolidge invited some folks from his hometown to dinner at the White house. Since none of them knew what proper etiquette should be on a state occasion, they thought the best policy would be to do whatever the President did. Coffee was served. And President Coolidge poured some of his coffee into his saucer. The folk from back home saw it and did the same. Then President Coolidge poured some milk into his saucer. The home folks did the same. Then the President leaned over and placed the saucer on the floor and called the White House cat.’ The Bible tell us we need to practice some discretion about who and what and why we imitate in life. Christ counseled us to be wise, even shrewd, in our dealings with outsiders. [7]
