Above It All

When the problems in my life

seem to get the best of me

when the mountains that I face

are all that I can see

that’s when I call His name

that’s when I look above

to a place within His presence

where I’m surrounded by His love

He is above it all

that’s where I long to be

for when I’m at His side

nothing can bother me

and when the storm comes in

that’s when I hear the call

in His presence I can live

above it all

When each step keeps getting harder

and there seems no end in sight

all around me there is darkness

I start looking for His light

Then I lift my eyes toward heaven

And then His face I see

When I walk into His presence

I feel love surrounding me

He is above it all

that’s where I long to be

for when I’m at His side

that’s when I hear the call

In His presence I can live
