RUNNING THE OTHER WAY
Bob Vernon, a 37 year veteran with the Los Angeles Police Department talked about this in his book: L.A. Justice, "Our department tried to demonstrate to rookie officers the value of their bullet-proof vests by placing them on mannequins and then shooting round after round at them. After that exercise, we would have the rookies check to see if any of the rounds penetrated the vests. The vests would pass the test with flying colors every time, so one day I got an idea. I turned to one of the rookie officers and said, ’Now, for the final test, you take the vest off that mannequin, put it on, and I’m going to shoot you to prove that it will protect you!’ The rookie ran from the building and resigned!"
In similar ways, God tests us to increase our faith and obedience and more often than not, we respond like this rookie cop...we run the other way!

Obedience is inherit in the relationship of man (as a created being) with God, the Creator. The New Covenant does not do away with the need for obedience to God. In fact, it supply the strength to live that way. Heaven will be a place of obedience to God.
