A man continually "rededicated" his life and always prayed the same prayer, "Lord, take the cobwebs out of my life. Oh, Lord.....take the cobwebs out of my life!"
His pastor had heard this prayer more times than he cared to remember and was tired of hearing it. Finally, when the man uttered the prayer into his pastor’s ear at the altar, “Lord, take the cobwebs out of my life,” the pastor responded with a prayer of his own and yelled out, "Lord, don't take the cobwebs out........just kill the dad gum spider!"
Find the "spider" in your heart and kill it. Turn away from your besetting sin that always trips you up.
Real mourning over sin leads to real changes in our life. That is real REPENTANCE.
