New Age is gaining mainstream acceptance. Judith Rosen reports in Publisher’s Weekly, “After years on the fringes, New Age--which includes some alternative health, addiction and recovery, psychology and spiritual titles, as well as books on Eastern traditions--may finally be approaching the middle of the road.” Rosen bases her conclusion, in part, on yoga centers across the United States, television and radio programs featuring the afterlife and reincarnation, and the New York Times bestseller books with New Age themes.
