Have you ever heard of Elisha Gray? Probably not, because he was late for a golden opportunity. On March 7, 1876, Mr. Gray submitted his brilliant idea to the U.S. Patent Office. The only problem was, patent #174,465 was given to another man with the same invention just a few hours earlier. Elisha Gray was a few hours late so we now remember Alexander Graham Bell as the inventor of the telephone.
