When I was 8 years old, my mother took my sister and I to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. It is a fascinating place where you can spend days seeing everything. Of particular interest to me was a large whale in the mammals exhibition. It was big and took up the size of a large room. I was fascinated with it as I had been interested in whales and looking at pictures of the in books and encyclopedias. My curiosity was aroused as to what it felt like. However there was a sign on the whale. The sign read, "DO NOT TOUCH." Now my curiosity was really aroused.
I touched the whale.
The Law will not give you the power to resist sin. It will only tell you what not to do. Only through the power of the Holy Spirit can we keep God’s law and commandments.
