BOOMER VOLUNTEERS

75% of Boomer volunteers who engage in professional activities, such as managing people or projects, continue volunteering the following year. Activities with the 2nd and 3rd highest volunteer retention rates are music or some other type of performance (70.9%) and tutoring, mentoring and coaching (70.3%). Boomer volunteers who engage in general labor or supply transportation regularly drop out (with only 55.6% continuing the next year). (PR Newswire 3/8/07)
