DEVOUT VS. RIGHTEOUS

A person might be devout, but not necessarily righteous. During the Christmas season of 2009 a Nigerian terrorist attempted to blow up a plane in Detroit, Michigan. His attempts failed. He was devoted to his caused, but you can’t say he was righteous.
