FRANCIS CHAN'S SERVANT WITNESS

Francis Chan was flying to Africa and seated next to him was a man who happened to be a Muslim. So they were talking about what they believed and the man said "Ya, I know some Christians and I hear their message and it turns me off. I’m not interested."

So the conversation petered out, but later the man asked Francis what he was doing in Africa. So he told about these dumps where kids would go and scavenge for food and water and how it broke his heart so he wanted to go and do something about it.

Now he the Muslim man’s attention. Suddenly he was very interested. Because the gospel wasn’t just words any more, it was something that had power, something that so transformed a person’s life that they would give considerable time and resources to serve people who would be considered by the world the lowest of the low. That’s humility.
