How vastly different is the Bible narrative from the Koran. Yet Muhammad and his "angel" and 1 billion people on the planet today want us to believe that the Prophet of Mecca/Medina has merely updated God's revelation. See for yourself.
Lesson 32, Talking Ants, Messenger Birds, and Frail Spiders. Today, suras 25-29 Sura 25 is about "the discriminator," a special gift given to Muhammad, to rightly discern what is true and what is not. Unfortunately his first act of discrimination in this chapter is to deny that the God of ...read more

Muhammad in the Koran, a strange explanation of some missing verses, final suras, and my conclusions from this study.
Lesson 35, How to Treat Muhammad, and "Satanic" Verses Today, suras 49-60 Beginning with this lesson, I will dispense with giving you the name of each sura, unless it is truly remarkable. Be assured that every sura is named for a particular reason, even if obscure to us. Sura 49 ...read more

We enter cautiously into the very unusual world of Islam via the first 3 chapters of its holiest book.
Lesson 14 , More Introductory Matters, and Sura 1 Note: From this point on, all quotations from the Koran are taken from The Generous Qur'an, copyright 2009, used by permission of Usama Dakdok Publishing, LLC. So we enter in. Here in my hand is a Koran. Well, not really. It is very like a ...read more

Every Christian in these trying times needs to have at least a basic understanding of Islam and its holy book. The following lessons will supply that need.
About this series of lessons As a student and teacher of the Christian Bible, what we believe to be the very Word of God, I know what my faith teaches. I am now learning what Islam teaches. There is a huge clash. The Muslim holy book is unknown to a large number of Muslims, and almost all ...read more

A series of important considerations regarding Islam and Muhammad before we get into the actual text of Koran.
Lesson 4, Isaac and Ishmael, in the Bible and the Koran The book of Genesis records a delightful story of one who is the father of all the faithful ones of all time. This man, Abraham, is promised a son who will carry on his line and be a blessing to all humanity. Trying to help God out, Abraham ...read more

Text transmission is a critical part of our faith. We must be assured we have heard from God. Here is a comparison of the two processes that brought forth the 2 Holy Books of our faiths.
Lesson 9, Which Comes First? Is it a full-blown religion, or a Book, that comes first from God? Strange question, perhaps, but important, I think. Possible answer one: In Israel, it was the religion. That is, the encounter. For many hundreds of years, there was no full book in Israel. But the ...read more

Muhammad started with the truth, so as to make it familiar to Christians of the day, then twisted it, added to it, subtracted from it.
Lesson 20, No Friendship with Infidels! The end of Sura 2, "the cow" , and the beginning of Sura 3, called "The family of Imran." We'll go through verse 31. You may recall that a story of Abraham and some animals and a dream is recorded in Genesis 15. The Koran has its own special ...read more

From Medina to Mecca, transitions in Muhammad's thinking. More strange "Bible" stories. Muhammad's concept of who God is and what He does.
Lesson 23, No Questions Allowed. Sura 5, called "The Table" As we move on, please take note here that so far, except for those few verses of Sura 1, everything you have heard, up to and including today's portion, was composed in Medina, and therefore, for the most part, has not been ...read more

It's all pretty strange territory for us, but Muhammad seems to be trying to show his awareness of Scripture by mentioning Bible names, then attaching weird narratives to them. Interesting, but so clearly contrived.
Lesson 26, Jihadists All. Now we finish Sura 7, and then move to sura 8, called "The Spoils", and sura 9, "The repentant". The ending verses of chapter 7 are yet another reminder of the insecure future afforded mankind by Allah, Islam's god. Verse 179: "And indeed, we have created for hell ...read more

Muhammad does not claim to be a perfect man, and the Koran confirms that for us. Also see Muhammad's attempt to pull Jesus down, and the changes in the Gospel story that he (or his "angel" ) has manufactured.
Lesson 29, Muhammad, Show Us Proof! Today we cover suras 14-17 . Sura 14 is called "Abraham" but only mentions the patriarch at the end, as the author of a prayer that, per the Bible, he never prayed. The chapter opens up with great promise, describing Koran as a book "we have sent down ...read more
