The weight and the heaviness of the world due to the damage of sin has been transferred upon his shoulders. Instead of us taking and carrying the heavy burden of the world upon our weak and painful shoulders, Christ will take the load off our backs.

Simeon was a devout and righteous man who had been waiting patiently for the Messiah to come. When he saw the little boy, Jesus, he took him by his arms and blessed him.
