God is calling every one of us to be heroes – to be people who will know God, be strong, and have great adventures. Heroes are made when you make a choice – will you be a hero?

David, the shepherd boy, was a young person who knew God, was strong in the Lord, and had great adventures. His victory over the giant Goliath is an example for us as to how we can overcome the giant troubles and problems in our lives.

The friendship of David and Jonathan is an example for us for the kind of friendships that God wants us to have with other Christians. To be a hero means to be a good friend.

David was a man after God’s own heart. His life is an example for us of someone who knew God personally, and was also a passionate worshipper of God. Like David, we need to learn to put God first.

The Bible says that the people who know God will be strong and have great adventures. Daniel and his three friends’ lives are an example for us to how we can have our own excellent adventures in God.

The book of Judges is a book of Heroes and cycles. When the hero would die, the children of Israel would turn back to their sin, God would let their enemies defeat them, they would cry out to the Lord, and He would raise up another hero.
