Jesus rose from the grave. That was no trifling event. It took the disciples some time to grasp all that had changed with the glorious reality of Jesus' resurrection. Their struggle mirrors the struggle of all faithful Christ-followers.

Was Thomas unfairly besmirched when the church begin to preface his name with "Doubting"? Yup.

The Ascension of Jesus Christ, and His commission to His disciples, is vitally important for today. Our life’s purpose as Christians and as the Church are found in the last words of Jesus before He leaves planet earth for a while.
