When you abandon God, life has disastrous consequences. The book of Ruth clearly demonstrates this concept ... while also showing that God will provide a way to redeem us, if we will only turn to Him!

Building on our last message from Ruth we come to a powerful conclusion: “Sometimes when you abandon God, your life has disastrous consequences ... but, God is still faithful … even when we aren't!”

God still provides, even when we think there is no hope for us! What is it that you need Him to provide for you and where do you doubt His perfect ability? Ruth's life speaks to God's provision, will we trust Him to provide for us as well?

Even in discouraging times, God was and IS still unfolding His plan to bring redemption to the entire world through His Messiah! Naomi's realization of who Boaz is to them is not only a relief, but shows us God's spectacular plan to provide!

When we are given direction to move and follow God, are we willing to step out and trust even though we have NO IDEA of the future? Naomi asked Ruth to step out in faith, and her response demonstrates clearly for us how we should respond to God.

When you are willing to risk your preferences and follow what God is prompting, something incredible will always happen! Are we willing to follow God when He tasks us to move?

There is a time for God’s people to wait for God to remove the obstacles in front of us; but there is also a time to confront the obstacles! Both are done in faith, because we live out our faith by acting as God prompts and leads us!

In the darkest days of Israel, in time of Judges (Ruth 1:1) ... God was at work! Our challenge is, will you trust Him to be at work in your life today and give you everything you need, or will you deny Him in place of your own preferences?
