There are times in our lives when faith seems more essential than others. In fact, we will eventually encounter a season where faith is all we have. We must learn to walk by faith as we follow the Lord and serve Him.

As we walk by faith, we may have to endure extended seasons waiting for the Lord to answer our prayer and move in our situation. If we remain faithful, God will answer in His time, according to His sovereign will.

Elijah was forced to live by faith in a place of isolation, totally depending on the Lord. These places of isolation are often difficult, but very beneficial. We should cherish and guard those places where we have an opportunity to hear from the Lord.

At times we feel as if faith is all we have when dealing with the struggles of life. Fortunately, when faith is all we have, we can discover we have all we need. When it appears our situation is beyond any hope of being resolved, the Lord is able.

There are times when we must rest in the unseen and believe the impossible by faith. Faith believes the impossible and trusts the Lord to meet our impossibilities. As we walk by faith on this level, great courage is also required.

Paul's encounter with the Lord brought about a radical transformation in his life. He began a walk of faith with the Lord that offered hope and assurance of eternal life. Of all the walks one takes with the Lord by faith, salvation is by far the best.
