1.) It is not an accident why we are here, out of hundreds of SCI graduates, God has called us, put the desire in our hearts and have the courage to decide to be a part in this follow up training.

2.) Since God has brought us here, then You and I preparing us

in such a way where God will continue to pursue His purpose through us.

3.) Remember when a man of God is there everything will be alright…..(O.T. All Kings behind them theirs always a Man of God)

4.) As a man of God we are the noblest man on this planet earth.

5.) When God has a plan to send us, He is not playing for His purpose, He is sincere and true of His purpose…

6.) Many are called but few are chosen…. God has a purpose in our life why we are here.

7.) In our text, God chose John the Baptist to prepare the way of the Lord. Before the call, there will be 400 years silent from the time in Malachi up to the book of the four gospel.

- A time of no hope….time of no joy…..time of imitation…

8.) Our Church today, where God is looking somebody to send and

three (3) things to be considered.

M.P.

I.) (v.1,2) PREACH HIS MESSAGE

“Mat 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, v 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ”

a.) Preach His Message and not our message.

- Some Pastors use the pulpit to their own interest.

( BANTAY KA LANG SA MINSAHE)

b.) God must create His own instrument for preaching.

c.) In our text, “v.2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ”

-The doctrine which John preached was the doctrine of repentance; of a change of mind, and principles.

- a change of practice.

d.) What God see about sin, must be ours also.

II.) (v.3) KNOW HIS MESSAGE

“ Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”

a.) “ Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

b.) Illus: If one of the high ranking officer visit one place, first He did, sent advance party to prepare everything He need. As advance party, you must know his mind, will, and his purpose.

c.) We are called by name…What is our name? When the spirit of God is in us He knew us.

- Like during the rapture, millions of believer, He called not on our own name but when He called His Spirit, those who are filled by His Spirit can hear His voice.

d.) To know His message is to have His mind.

III.) (v.4) LIVE HIS MESSAGE

“ Mat 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.”

a.) We are not above our master.

b.) Christ shows the kind of life that a Man of God needed.

c.) Satan’s purpose is to destroy us to not bear Christ’ Life.

d.) And a leathern girdle about his loins; and such an one also Elijah was girt with, 2Ki_1:8 and which added to the roughness of his garment, though it shows he was prepared and in a readiness to do the work he was sent about.

e.) His dress was plain.

(1.) To show that, like Jacob, he was a plain man, Those that are lowly in heart should show it by a holy negligence and indifference in their attire; and not make the putting on of apparel their adorning, nor value others by their attire.

(2.) To show that he was a prophet, for prophets wore rough garments, as mortified men (Zec_13:4); and, especially, to show that he was the Elias promised

(3.) To show that he was a man of resolution; his girdle was not fine, such as were then commonly worn, but it was strong, it was a leathern girdle; and blessed is that servant, whom his Lord, when he comes, finds with his loins girt, Luk_12:35; 1Pe_1:13.
