Summary: Shows the affect that the orgin of sin had on all men all starting in the beginning.

Repercussion of Sin

1 Now Adam had sexual relations with his wife, Eve, and she became pregnant. When she gave birth to Cain, she said, “With the LORD’s help, I have produced a man!” 2 Later she gave birth to his brother and named him Abel.

When they grew up, Abel became a shepherd, while Cain cultivated the ground. 3 When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the LORD. 4 Abel also brought a gift—the best of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The LORD accepted Abel and his gift, 5 but he did not accept Cain and his gift. This made Cain very angry, and he looked dejected.

6 “Why are you so angry?” the LORD asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? 7 You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”

Introduction

God created Eve to fill an unmet need in Adam’s otherwise perfect world. She entered a land free of pain, heartache and sin, but her fluctuating emotions made obedience a struggle.

Eventually she influenced Adam to join her in sin. Their choice to follow satan rather than God brought devastating consequences that continue to plague us even today.

It is shown in scripture that though she had failure of her past that it would not prohibit her from her future her life here demonstrates an ability to recover from failures and move forward. She restored her relationship with God, and when her first born son was born child was born, she acknowledged dependence on God. The scripture shows that Cain develops a resentful and jealous spirit.

Although when he’s born she says, "I have gotten a man from the Lord". Perhaps she thought that this was the promised seed. If so, she was sorely disappointed. Abel signifies vanity: when she thought she had the promised seed in Cain, whose name signifies possession, she was so overwhelmed that when the other son was born it was as vanity to her. Look, each son had a calling.

It is the will of God for everyone to have something to do in this world. Parents ought to bring up their children to work. Give them a Bible and a calling and ask God to be with them. Religious Worship is no different today as it was then. Jeremiah 6:16 says

16Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

The offerings of Cain and Abel were different. Cain showed a proud, unbelieving heart. Therefore he and his offering were rejected. Abel came as a sinner, and according to God’s appointment, by his sacrifice expressing humility, sincerity, and believing obedience. Thus, seeking the benefit of the new covenant of mercy, through the promised Seed, his sacrifice had a token that God accepted it. Abel offered in faith, and Cain did not.

Two sorts of worshippers

1) Cain - Proud, hardened despisers of the gospel method of salvation, who attempt to please God in ways of their own way and those who think they can drum something up that will work for them.

2) Abel - humble believers, who draw near to God in the way he has revealed.

The atmospheric creation is to:

1) Say

2) See

3) Call

To Produce - The seed in which is being carried cannot become until it is handled properly.

On the Premises of Pregnancy Must Be:

1) Relationship 2) Intimacy 3) Pregnancy 4) Birthing

Cain indulged malignant anger against Abel. He harbored an evil spirit of discontent and rebellion against God. God notices all our sinful passions and discontents. There is not an angry, envious, or fretful look that escapes his observing eye.

Womb is the place of timing and development... And it has to be fertile……

Cain’s name means produce, acquire or possess (Thought to Be the Promised Child)

Able’s name means "Breathe", Vapor, and Vanity. (Thought to be meaningless)

Blessings come to those who are: Positioned – Postured – Aligned to the will of God.

Though God rains upon the just as well as the unjust

Rain simply implies reward to the unjust

Recompense - Compensation
