Summary: God’s plan for you is ALL good! You can arise now and say, "I am God’s best". Dr. Hughes challenges you to take a leap of faith and believe that God made you His best.

I sense a destiny in your life because you are valuable to God. God wants you to prosper and have success in your life. He has a plan that only you can accomplish and fulfill.

You are created with God’s best material! You were born for GREATNESS! You were created for health, not sickness; success, not failure; abundance and happiness, not for poverty and disappointment.

God looked out across eternity and He saw you. He said, “This is good.” I don’t care if you are overweight; your hair is getting gray; your skin is not so smooth; you done things that no one knows about but you – it’s your secret cry of the night. But tonight, I pray that from now on when you walk in a room they say, “Who is that?” They should see a confidence in you knowing that you are God’s best.

Let’s look at a woman who was created for God’s best but something went wrong in her life. In looking at her life, we ask – if God loves her so much, then why did this happen? Let’s be honest, did you ever ask God WHY?

2 Samuel 13:1-20

Tamar. The beautiful daughter of God – God’s best. Oh what a great future she had. She had the dream of the wedding. A big cake. The handsome man. The bridesmaid. She wanted to present herself pure to her husband. But now this. She went to help her own brother Amnon but he took advantage of her. While she stirred the soup and prepared to help him with his cold, he brutally abused and assaulted her. Her femininity had been crushed, torn apart like a beautiful ROSE. Her father had great dreams for her – she was the fairest of ten thousand woman. She had been violated. But she trusted him – oh God WHY? She cried but no one answer came. This was so innocent to help her brother, but now only silent frustration – a silent scream.

The shame was too great. Satan told her that no one would ever want her – he whispered – see, you are God’s best and He allowed this to happened to you. You better go now and …then suddenly her other brother enters the room – Absalom.

Oh, he tried to wipe her tears and ease the pain. But what he didn’t know that you heard the voice – but not of the beloved, but the enemy. Oh, the torment so great that you couldn’t bear it any longer. She put on the ashes and tore her clothes of purity (righteousness) and put on filthy rags. She could no longer believe that she was pure before God.

There are several kinds of rape – emotional, physical, and spiritual. There are many ways to be victimized. Tamar suffered because of something out of her control and she feels guilty about being a victim. But she does not have to be a victim, but can be a transmitter of the power of God. But she decided to remain desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

In reality, she became bitter at God. She thought that God caused her problem.

There are some things that I want to tell Tamar and tell you. No matter what has happen, you are still God’s best.

1. You are still God’s child (His daughter) and nothing can change that RELATIONSHIP.

Even in my messes and broken state – JESUS still died and arose on the third day. I don’t have to live in any condemnation. I am free from the law of sin and death. He has made me righteous. Don’t put on the filthy rags again. You are made the righteousness of God. God did not cause your problem, but the enemy. He is trying to block you from fulfilling your purpose in the earth realm.

II Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man BE in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Now that settles it. Put it in the past. Your relationship is secure – YOU ARE NEW. It is time to renew your mind in the Word with this reality.

Song of Solomon 6:2

I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feeds among the lilies.

The moment you are freed from all self-seeking, you will now that you belong completely to your Beloved. You know that you will never lose Him. He repays your pain with the greatest affection; He feeds you with purity.

2. Use your POWER.

Song of Solomon 6:3

You are beautiful, my love, sweet and lovely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army prepared for war.

As beautiful as you are to Christ, you are frightening to the devil. The enemies of God fear you because you are united with Him. You are an army prepared for war.
