Summary: God knows the Truth

God is not mocked

Do you remember the game show from years ago called "Truth or Consequences?" What about the show "To tell the Truth?"’ The first was a game show based on telling the truth about a particular thing in your life or face a somewhat humorous consequence, and the other was based on convincingly telling a series of lies to a panel of judges in order to fool them about your identity. I believe this is very similar to life and the way we live in America. And living this way is a very poor illustration of Christians. But it is a real picture. And if you were to put the two games together you would have "Me Truth or the Consequences." Galatians 6, "...Be not deceived; God Is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. ft

Be not deceived (two fold meaning)

1. Don’t be fooled by the world and what the world has to offer. (False teachings and religions, sin and worldly things) Have you ever been deceived by someone who hard a certain appearance (rich or important) What about commercials on TV (Cigarettes, alcohol) Things aren’t what they seemed You see we @ we can do whatever we want. As long as it feels good do it.

2. Also, don’t be fooled or misled thinking we can mock God. We can’t run from Him or hide from Him. We can ignore Him but the results of this will be destruction.

Mock-to - turn up the nose or sneer at or literally to thumb of noses at Him and say get out we don’t need you. We’re tired of you trying to run our lives.

Buy doing this

1 . We are deceived as a people. What will it take to realize that God is in control? Judgement! We think that we are in control, it’s our way or the highway, we’ll do what we want to do, and we don’t need you even if we are wrong as long as no one tells us what to do. People don¡¦t to be ruled but realize this- we can do nothing apart from God. God is in control! He¡¦s All Powerful! (Creation in Genesis, time, force, motion, space and matter)

2. As a Nation,

we don’t and most times won¡¦t stand up for anything that is right. I can’t understand it. History tells us this is supposed to be a Godly nation, founded on Biblical principles. Oh really! The one thing we learn from history is we don’t learn from history. I am a patriot but I’m Christian first. We’re supposed to stand up for what is right. We need to take a good look at where this country is headed.

Listen

„h 85% of India is Hindu, Christians there beaten and there homes vandalized with out aid from their government

„h China called everyone’s favorite country, forced abortions, killing Children if they’re not boys.

„h The Muslim nation sells Christian children into slavery.

God Forbid

Where does America fit in this equation? We call ourselves Godly. Will we stand up? I believe we have turned our backs on God. Jer. 2:5-13

Sound familiar? It should because it’s just like America.

Are we vein? We act emptily without any heat whatsoever and are in love with ourselves.

Do we follow idols? Not unless you count money, jobs, sports, women and men sexually promiscuous lifestyles, our self and about an else we put before God. "Thou shall have no other gods before me.

And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof, but when you entered, you defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination." It might read: Brought you to the U.S., you took the land, raped it, made my name a no-no and threw out my word to follow the flesh. We changed our god for things that do not profit.

God Forbid

We want the flesh and the works of (Gal.19-21) And the like of meaning all kinds of evil. But it doesn’t matter to us. The bible say’s ¡§they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.¡¨ a continuous, habitual practice of sin. Jesus talked about the Prodigal son and how he got down into a pigpen. But he didn’t stay there. The only ones who stay are pigs. If a son gets there, he’ll be very unhappy till he gets out. If you can live in continuous sin there¡¦s a problem and your in a dangerous position.

There are consequences for willful sin. (2 Sam. 11 and on) David’s sin effected his life and his family. Bathsheba, son of adultery, Tamar and Amnon’s (rape and incest) Absolom’s rebellion against his father. Like throwing a rock in calm water are the repercussions of the willful sin.
