CLEARING THE WAY-part 4—Psalm 119:9-16
The psalmist described the means by which a young man was to cleanse his way or make his way straight in the world.
A young man entering adulthood &/or fatherhood can properly maintain his way in the world.
How can a man(person) entering adulthood maintain/make his(their) way in the world?
How can a Christian man maintain/make his way in the world?
12 Disciplines to maintaining/making your way in the world.

1. A PURIFYING Heart(:9a)
2. A KEEPER’s/GUARD’s/PROTECTOR’s Heart(:9b)
3. A HUNTER’s Heart(:10a)
4. A NAVIGATOR’s Heart(:10b)
5. A TREASURING Heart(:11a)
6. A REASONING Heart(:11b)
All these disciplines can either be limited to your little world or they can be brought into the realm of service to God.

An ADORING Heart(:12a)
Explanation:(:12a)Loving & Discerning
:12a—“Blessed are You, O LORD!...”
YHWH is “blessed” by all He has created & made, even with the presence of sin. The young man intent upon a cleansed way/path recognizes YHWH’s deserving of “blessing” from all & takes such responsibility to himself as well.
Ps. 19:1-4—<
Lk. 19:32-40—“So those who were sent went their way & found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?” And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, & they set Jesus on him. And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road. Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice & praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying:” ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Peace in heaven & glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered & said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”
So blessed” that voiceless, speechless & even inanimate creation will give voice to Jesus’ divinity & presence!
“Blessed/Praise”—Krb baw-rak’—Qal Participle Passive—1) To bless, kneel; 2) (TWOT) To praise, salute, curse. Strong—a primitive root; To kneel; by implication--To bless God(as an act of adoration), & (vice-versa)man(as a benefit); also by euphemism--To curse(God or the king, as treason).
“LORD”—hwhy Yeh-ho-vaw'—Jehovah = “The existing One”—1) The proper name of the one true God—1a) Unpronounced except with the vowel pointings of ynda Ad-on-ay’. Strong—(the)Self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God.
Argumentation:
Isa. 6:1-3—“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high & lifted up, & the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, & with two he flew. And one cried to another & said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”
Mk. 10:15—“Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
Mk. 12:29-31—“Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. ‘And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, & with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. “And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
1Jn. 4:7-16—“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; & everyone who loves is born of God & knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us & sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, & His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, & He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen & testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, & he in God. And we have known & believed the love that God has for us. God is love, & he who abides in love abides in God, & God in him.”
