VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. A worshipper of the LORD

"PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord,"

Requirements of GOD's blessings is first you need to be a worshipper of the LORD, One who have accepted the LORD as LORD, GOD and SAVIOR.

But you will say, how come unbelievers are richer, yes in physical, but let's see if their riches been a blessing to them. Let's see a typical rich man, slaves himself to work everyday to become rich, yet is not content, not feeling safe, and can't sleep at night because he thinks his riches will be robbed by someone else, he thinks everybody is out to get him because of his riches, and thinks he's getting kidnapped, or carnapped because his car is the fastest and latest. Think again! His riches have become a curse for him and his luxurious house a prison for him. He is not blessed! Wealth with peace is blessing.

Psalms 111:10 (Amplified Bible)

111:10 The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom and skill [the preceding and the first essential, the prerequisite and the alphabet]; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do [the will of the Lord]. Their praise of Him endures forever.

Psalms 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

4:8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

Psalms 69:22 (Amplified Bible)

69:22 Let their own table [with all its abundance and luxury] become a snare to them; and when they are secure in peace [or at their sacrificial feasts, let it become] a trap to them.

Psalms 119:165 (Amplified Bible)

119:165 Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble.

Psalms 37:16 (Amplified Bible)

37:16 Better is the little that the [uncompromisingly] righteous have than the abundance [of possessions] of many who are wrong and wicked.

Proverbs 15:16-17 (Amplified Bible)

15:16 Better is little with the reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord than great and rich treasure and trouble with it.

15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a fatted ox and hatred with it.

1 Timothy 6:6-7 (Amplified Bible)

6:6 [And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.

6:7 For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world;

Our blessings can't be seen but we are envied somehow by unbelievers because the "things" that can't be seen are better but can't be bought with great wealth, and we have this for free: mercy, loving-kindness, righteousness, justice, peace and contentment. You can't buy these. But it's a package deal when you're in the LORD.

B. One who delights in His commandments

"who delights greatly in His commandments"

Psalms 1:1-2 (Amplified Bible)

1:1 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

1:2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

Psalms 40:8 (Amplified Bible)

40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God; yes, Your law is within my heart.

Romans 7:22 (Amplified Bible)

7:22 For I endorse and delight in the Law of God in my inmost self [with my new nature].

Romans 8:6 (Amplified Bible)

8:6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
