2. We must understand that Christ must be lifted up before the lost

- Through your words

- Through your faithfulness to His church

- Through your Monday through Saturday walk

B. Our message must build with compassion for the lost (v. 8)

1. Evangelism is more than simply preaching

2. Evangelism is demonstrated many times

3. Evangelism is many times meeting needs

C. Our message must come with the right motives (v. 9-10)

1. Our reason must not be about money

2. Our reason must not be about claiming numbers

3. Our reason must be about the kingdom

III. Jesus was specific about the results (v. 11-16)

A. Evangelism is a blessing to those who receive it’s message (v. 11-12)

1. There is the potential for eternal life

“He who believes in Him is NOT condemned….” – John 3:18

2. There is the potential of eternal peace

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives….” John 14:27

B. Evangelism can be a curse to some (v. 13-15)

1. The gospel leaves everyone that hears more responsible

2. The gospel brings about the judgment of God
