ƒ{ Real power comes from God

ƒ{ The light bulb doesn't work unless it is plugged into the power source

ƒ{ Men have substituted symbols of power for real power

* Cars

* Guns

* Motorcycles

* Biceps & triceps

* Money

ƒ{ Real power comes from God

ƒ{ That's why we work so hard creating the right atmosphere for men.

SUBDUE = Conquer

DOMINION = Control

ƒ{ We can't have power until we conquer and control

ƒ{ A man who cannot conquer and control his own spirit

„X Is like a city without walls

Lascivious = unrestrained actions

ƒ{ Adam was created to be a King

ƒ{ God -- King of Kings

ƒ{ Men are kings who need a priest

PRIEST = Apostle -- Father

ƒ{ We live in a fatherless generation

o Over-mothered

o Under-fathered

ƒ{ Therefore, not relating or even understanding God's

„X Power

VISION - Priests

PROVISION - Kings

- you will function as one or the other

- all the time (private life)

- but only in the office of one (church)

* If you are not receiving a paycheck for full-time employment from your church

o Then you are a king

* I would love to be a king -- here's why

o I want to have a Kings blessing

* Kings would love to be a Priest -- here's why

o He wants money going into good soil.

* They fight against each other.

ľ In the church we've under developed kingship

ľ And over developed priesthood.

ľ Churches are filled with unfulfilled kings.

* There has been a subtle pressure placed upon people in the church to become priests

* There will always be a handful of priests and an abundance of kings

* Because God set the pattern in the Old Testament

-12 Tribes = 1 tribe of priests, Levi

= 11 were tribes of Kings

* I didn't teach Nick, Berrit, Lindsey about Kings & Priests

- 2 Samuel 11:1

- Here is a king who didn't act like a king

- David was supposed to go to war

- War to get spoils -- possess land -- possessions

- 1 Samuel 13:1-14 / Deuteronomy 20:1-4

- Saul was trying to do the job of a priest -- and lost his kingdom because of it.

- Often evil kings didn't lose their kingdom

- Manasseh

o built sexual organs in the temple

o witches & warlocks in leadership

o erected and worshipped the God of Molech -- burned babies

o sawed Isaiah in half

o Philistine dragged him, left him for dead

o He repented and got his kingdom back

- David trying to recapture the Ark

o Uzza tries to steady it and is killed

o David a king is trying to do the work of a priest

o He later sends the tribe of Levi (priest) to get the Ark

- We have inactive kings because

- They either haven't heard of or accepted their mandate.

1. Lack of Respect between the two

2. Pastors are viewed

- as power hungry

- or wimps

- or no dead church vision

Priests

The primary responsibility of the priest is to provide the vision

Helen Keller, when asked,

"Is there anything in life worse than being blind?"

Answered, "yes, having eyesight and no vision."

- Where there is no vision people perish

Vision = to stay in your lane

- Vision is what keeps us on course

3. SEX

ƒ{ In the back of every man's mind is sex

ƒ{ When a man becomes a Christian the rules change.

ƒ{ And even if you were saved before you got married, men & women have different views.
