Summary: Sermon Series I preach when our Church went through Rick Warren's C.L.A.S.S. Christian Life And Service Seminars Thanks to Rick Warren for the Foundation of this Sermon Series

Question: Why is it important to have a Strategic Plan?

Jeremiah 29:11 "I say this because I know what I am planning for you," says the LORD. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future." (NCV)

A Biblical Example: Nehemiah

His Vision: To see Jerusalem become a safe place where God's people would honor and serve the Lord with their Life.

His Mission: To rebuild the city and walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 1:8-9 and 2:5

Question: How did Nehemiah fulfill his Mission?

1. It all began with a Burden! Nehemiah 1:1-4

A burden cries out for someone to do something.

2. A Burden fuels Passion! Nehemiah 1:5-11

Passion is God putting His desires in our heart and working them out in our life.

3. And Passion creates Vision! Nehemiah 2:5, 11-16

Nehemiah began to receive a picture from God as to what the mission looked like.

4. And Vision then calls for Action! Nehemiah 2:17-20

The people were move to work and the walls were completed in just 52 days. Nehemiah 6:15

Calvary's Strategic Plan is a process to accomplish our Mission in order to live according to God's Vision!

1 Corinthians 9:22c-23a "...Yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him. I do this to get the Gospel to them..." (LB)

Our Strategic Process:

Starts with having a Burden for our Community to come to Christ!

We will Engage the Crowd we touch shoulders with!

We will Encourage the Congregation to move through the process of maturity!

We will Challenge the Committed to press on to receive the prized and never be satisfied!

We will Empower the Core to do the work of the Lord!

Question: Where are you at in the Strategic Process?
