Those Who Know God Must Abide In Love Series

Summary: For those who know God, love will be the evident characteristic of their lives.
I. Love is a Persistent Theme (verses 10-11)
A. John 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
B. John 15:12, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

II. Love is Promised Retaliation (verses 12-13)
A. Cain resented Abel’s righteousness
B. The world resents our righteousness

III. Love is Perceived in Christ (verses 14-16)
