(5) Qualities of a good soldier of the cross

2nd Tim. 2: 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2nd Tim:4 : 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

1st He must be a follower of Christ

Isa: 58:11And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Our relationship to Christ

1. Born again

2. Child with responsible

3. Following the rules

4. Leading the family

2nd Must be faithful

Must have patience

Able to endure hardships

Never quits

Priorities -- wants to please the Lord

Their practice guard the truth keeps the faith

Determined to do a good job at all cost.

Does nothing to bring disgrace are dishonor to their family

3rd They are familiar

Sounds of Lord and family voices

Skilled with weapons PRAYER BIBLE CHURCH

Strategy of the enemy

Hardly ever rest

With the shadows of their friends

Welfare of their friends

Christians must shadow one another

Good soldiers must train together

4th They are fighters

Determined to win at all cost

Stand their ground

Fight till the battle is over

They are driven to the finish

Ready for the next move never stoping

They are dedicated

Keep the oaths to --- marriage church / husband/ wife / family

Defending at all times

Their faith should be precious to us

5th Good soldiers are finishers

They are there for the long haul

Follow the leadership selflessly

Knows the price to be paid.

Waiting on the Lord to say well done thy good and faithful servant

Psalm 61: 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
