Summary: We have a key that God had given to us, this key He would not take from us.Not even the devil could take it from us, unless we would hand it to him just like Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, by means of deception. Jesus had already redeemed us, decide!

Deuteronomy30:15¶”See, I have set before thee this day life and good,

and death and evil;

16In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God,

to walk in his ways,

and to keep his commandments and his statutes

and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply:

and the LORD thy God shall bless thee

in the land whither thou goest to possess it

19I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,

that I have set before you life and death,

blessing and cursing:

therefore choose life,

that both thou and thy seed may live:”

We have a key that God had given to us, this key He would not take from us. Not even the devil could take it from us... unless we would hand it to him (again) just like Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, through the means of deception. Jesus had redeemed us from such sin and He has brought us back to God when He died for us in the Cross and Ressurrected back from the dead as a proof that we are back in track in this relationship with God by handing us once more the Key that the devil had deceptively stole from man.

Matthew 16:19 “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

BODY:

I- DECISION BY FAITH v.15

“See, I have set before thee this day...”

Faith is always today.

Heb.11:1’s “Now faith...”

Not tomorrow, not yesterday but now. Today.

Faith locates us with God outside of TIME and feeds through this invisible UMBILICAL CORD an inner assurance that what I’m believing for – hoping for IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

It is all by faith.

What ever decisions we make, good or bad... it is all a matter of our own personal decision by faith.

I like this quote so much I noted it here.

“Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.”

—Stephen R. Covey,

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Sowing an action is sowing in faith.

Look what decision by faith can do. A Future!

II- DECISION BY FREE WILL vv.15, 19

“See, I have set before thee this day life and good,

and death and evil; (v.15)

“therefore choose life,

that both thou and thy seed may live:” v19

“free will”

means that God gives humans the opportunity to make choices that genuinely affect their destiny. The world’s current sinful state is directly linked to choices made by Adam and Eve. God created mankind in His own image, and that included the ability to choose.

However, free will does not mean that mankind can do anything he pleases. Our choices are limited to what is in keeping with our nature. For example, a man may choose to walk across a bridge or not to walk across it; what he may not choose is to fly over the bridge—his nature prevents him from flying.

In a similar way, a man cannot choose to make himself righteous—his (sin) nature prevents him from canceling his guilt (Romans 3:23). So, free will is limited by nature.

This limitation does not mitigate, make less severe, serious, or painful our accountability. The Bible is clear that we not only have the ability to choose, we also have the responsibility to choose wisely.

In the Old Testament, God chose a nation (Israel), but individuals within that nation still bore an obligation to choose obedience to God. And individuals outside of Israel were able to choose to believe and follow God as well (e.g., Ruth and Rahab).

In the New Testament, sinners are commanded over and over to “repent” and “believe” (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Acts 3:19; 1 John 3:23). Every call to repent is a call to choose.

The command to believe assumes that the hearer can choose to obey the command.

III- DECISION THROUGH YOUR FUTURE v19

“...therefore choose life,

that both thou and thy seed may live:”

When you choose death and cursing,

God will visit the iniquities of their children up to the 4th generation and so forth Exodus20:5!

When you choose life and blessings?

Psalm 112 will be the assurance of an eternal covenant with God to your children....

CONCLUSION:

You hold now the keys to your Future by making a decision...

BY FAITH

BY YOUR FREE WILL

BY FUTURE

Heaven and Earth will be your witness

Choose well.

In Jesus’name... John16:33 is a good reminder.

An assurance to eternity
