Going For Gold Series

Summary: A picture of what Christ has done for you and the response He desires from you. We should never give Jesus anything less than our best.
I. Christ is the SUPREME High Priest for you.
A. The Father SELECTED Him.
B. He SACRIFICED Fully.
C. He SUFFERED for you and with you.
D. He SYMPATHIZES with you.
II. He wants you to set your SIGHTS on the Gold of Heaven.
A. OBEDIENCE = LOVE.
1. Who do you spend time with?
2. What do you set your affections on?
B. SIN puts a barrier between you and God. (Isaiah 59:2)
1. Christ offers help when needed (1 John 1:9).
2. God offers no help to Deliberate and Defiant lawbreakers. (Hebrews 10:28; Exodus 21:12-14)
3. When you slip up and want to get back on track, you have nothing to fear.
III. If God handed out medals today, where would you STAND?
A. Obedience does not mean that you are Perfect, that is Christ’s Position.
B. Obedience means you mature in a faith that GROWS in love with Christ INCREASINGLY.
