Remain Fixed – Stand on HIS Promises – Call upon Him – With all of your Heart

A DAY OF ENCOURAGEMENT

BE STRONG – COMMIT YOURSELVES TO CHRIST

God wants us for His Own.

I called a very good friend of mine, Rev Bob Savage on Friday, and it was a good conversation to bring us both up to speed on each other’s lives. We Chair the TVTM together, and with Saturday being the first day back, I wanted to make sure we were together on some things.

He inquired about our family, and Terri, and I.

I told him some of the things we were going through. 2 weeks ago, our friends, the Bailey Bunch, move to Alabama. This Last Saturday, our neighbor of 6 or so years, a widow at age 21 with a daughter about Julia’s age, got married to a fine looking young man, [Terri actually took the wedding pictures] and this past week, moved to Louisianna. On Thursday, one of our trucks had a serious accident. Friday, our nephew, Joshua…Greta’s oldest son, graduated from High School. And Saturday, we opened the TVTM BGEA Center at Beachmont for this BG Telecast. All this, and we are working towards obtaining our financing for building our new home “up the Street”.

Which by the way, while I was talking to Bob, and he prayed with me regarding our financing, we received an email in those minutes confirming the approvals. PTL. HE answers us even while we are praying.

God says in His Word…John 10:10

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” If last week wasn’t abundant, I don’t know what is…

Jeremiah 29:11-13 KJV

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Psalm 86:7-12

7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

I want to Know GOD MORE. Don’t you? If your sitting here just to hear me talk, you don’t need to be here. But if you are here to GROW in CHRIST, then LISTEN UP.

Bob said to me. He encouraged me. He said. All this is going on, but remember one thing…Keep Focusing on God. Sometimes we let these things get in our way. We tend to lose our focus.

I reminded him. We not only need to keep focused, we need to remain fixed.

David said. Remain Fixed – No Matter What.

Psalm 57:7

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Psalm 108:1

O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Psalm 112:7

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

In the Movie, “Facing the Giants”,

A husband and wife have been trying for years to have a child to continually fail.

The husband, finally goes to the doctor and finds out that he is not able to have children. This breaks his heart beyond measure to tell his wife the diagnosis.

But he asks her this very important question…“will you, do you still love HIM?”

Him, referring to God, our Creator. Despite our circumstances and conditions, will we still continue to LOVE HIM?

With all the things going on around us. When our world seems turned upside down. Are we, are you remaining fixed upon God. Fixed upon Christ. Turn your eyes upon Jesus says the song. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things on earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Jesus said, I will never leave nor forsake you.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
