Summary: If your a Christian you have a door that leads to Jesus. Even when you fill your way out there in the field He is right there with you.

A Door That Leads To Jesus

John 10:1-7

1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Verse one says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, this is telling us that there is a door and in fact only one door”.

Verse one then goes on to say, “but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber”.

What this is saying is that there is no other Name under Heaven whereby we must be saved.

There is only one way to get to Heaven and that is through the door of Christ.

Mohammed has a door, Buddha has a door, Allah has a door, Jehovah witnesses and Mormons have a door, but their door will lead their followers straight to Hell.

Verse two says, “But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep”.

Door is the way; Jesus alone is the true Shepherd.

John 10:3

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

When it says, “To him the porter openeth; means that the law”, the doorkeeper immediately admitted Him because He had perfectly kept the law.

He was the only one who was able to do this feat.

The sheep hear His voice; this means that true sheep hear the voice of the true Shepherd.

Jesus calls His sheep by name; this speaks of relationship with salvation.

Then He leads them out, this is speaking of suitable pasture.

The one who wants to know the true Word of God will be led into all truth.

John 16:13

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 10:4

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

When we are a Christian, then we have an owner, Christ, He purchased us with His Blood.

He is the owner and the Shepherd of the sheep.

Verse 4 says that He goes before them, He has everything planned.

He goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know His voice.

A true Christian knows His voice and no other voice will they listen to.

A false heart will follow others.

John 10:5

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

“A strange doctrine I will not follow, because I know the voice of the Master”.

A stranger might be thief or a robber, or maybe a false prophet.

Mathew 7:15-20

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I have entitled this today:

A Door That Leads To Jesus

Here is the reason why:

Dream 9-3-08

I dreamed that Susan and I were in Mary and Terry’s field. There were other people there. I was saying that no matter where we were, there is a door and it leads to Jesus. I saw a literal door. I knew that Jesus was there. I said no matter how far I am out, He is right at my door. All you have to do is ask Him.
