Summary: A Good will instantly becomes God's will though it isn't an appointed time. (John 2:1-10)

Mary (Mortal mother of Jesus) - Jesus calls her women -John 2:4; John 19:26

Jesus didn't call her 'women' to insult or to hurt her. But, to make clear that she's just a mortal like us.

"My hour has not yet come.” John 2:4

Though Jesus says that his time has not yet come. We read that Jesus still does a miracle in the wedding at Cana. He does it not just because his mortal mother asked him to. but it is fulfilment of biblical promise to everyone of us " Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: " -Matt 7:7 .

Every promise in scripture will be fulfilled under following biblical conditions.

* Condition 1 *

The most important condition is that what we ask/seek/knock should be of righteousness. So that it could be recieved/found/opened. Because He is the God of righteousness and the promise He gave us in Matt 7:7-8 has an important condition "Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" -Matt 7:11

*GOD GIVES GOOD THINGS*

*Condition 2*

We receive only when we keep God's commandments and do what pleases him. as promised in 1John 3:22 "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight."

In John 2:3, We see that Mary (mortal mother of Jesus) indiretly petitions Jesus to help the servants at the marriage at Cana. Mary had faith in Jesus and she knew that He's the Son of God (Luke 1:35) and hasn't perfomed any miracle untill then. Even though He didn't reply her favourably. John 2:4 "Woman, what have I to do with thee? ". However he says it isn't the appointed time for a miracle as said in John 2:4"mine hour is not yet come." She sought a miracle with her unshakable faith (His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” -John 2:5. As a result they had the best wine. (John 2:10).

*Reason for the miracle (Though it wasn't the appointed time)*

1)She sought a GOOD THING (Matt 7:7 - Promise) &

2)Jesus was well pleased by her faith. (1John 3:22 - Promise)
