Summary: We are Christ’s Ambassadors representing the Kingdom of God until we go home with the King. If you are an ambassador of an enemy country and decide to make it your home you are an enemy of the state.
A Life of Purpose
Therefore since we have been Justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perserverance; perserverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
In this life we are constantly faced-struggles, issues and problems. Some things people face keep them bottled up, stressed out, sick emotionally, physically and frustrated. People lose their jobs and take out their entire family. People fall out with significant other or spouse and decide if I can’t have you no one will. Afraid to face the future, can’t get over the past. Addiction to alcohol, over the counter drugs, RX drugs. And what’s even sadder is that if you asked them if they believe in God they would reply yes, and probably proclaim to be a Christian.
God’s plan was not for us to live this way, lost in a bottle, stuck on reaching a status in society or refuse to function. But his designed was for you to have a life filled with purpose. A life compacted with determination and strength. Righteous Determination requires our persistence to overcome barriers that holds us back. Ability to make tough decisions and accomplish God’s goals based on the truths of God’s word and regardless of the resistance. Ability to set ourselves toward the things of God and not be distracted or discourage
In the scriptures Paul discusses Justification and how we are justified by the work of Jesus Christ and grace God. He is further proving the case of the benefits of being justified in a believer’s life. This 5th Chapter discusses Major blessings that every believer possesses.
1. Peace with God through Jesus Christ
We are on speaking terms once foes now friends through the work of Jesus Christ by grace.
2. We now enjoy access into an indescribable position of favor with God (Sons and Daughters of God).
Ephesians 1:4-5 tell us that he chose us in Him before the creation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ. (We have a Purpose).
3. We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
We have great expectation for the time when we not only look upon the splendor of God but when we ourselves be manifested in glory.
4. We also glory in tribulations.
James said blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love him. Paul explains in verse 4 that perseverance works character
Trials and tribulations can be extremely painful-but God’s word say Tribulations will produce a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Paul understood that his reward was to come in the form of righteousness-more valuable than any earthy prestige or reward (Boxing Title, setting a world record-someone is waiting to take the spot)
Paul did not allow suffering, failure, prison or any other obstacle to hinder God’s Purpose in his life.
The key principle for Paul was to guard his faith from anything that would turn it from God. –Not allowing setbacks or discouragement of other people hold us back from obeying and finishing well for Christ’s glory (You Are In Danger and Don’t Even Know It).
**Make Up In Your Mind**
The scriptures- a mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind on the spirit is life and peace. (Rom 8:6)
Some things you’ve gotta let go, some people you gotta let go.
Paul writes in Phil 3:13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.
Keep Moving-I don’t care how long you’ve known Mr. or Ms. Trouble, let them go and move forward.
The word of God said: Ephesians 5:15-17 “Be very careful, then how you live- not as unwise but as wise making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is- to be efficient and effective”.
It is not the time to slow down or wander aimlessly but it’s time to make those dreams and hopes in your heart come true. It is for this fight that God has called you out of the world to live for His Kingdom
