A One Step Guide To God's Grace

This is a weird way to break the tension. He detailed his statement and gave everything but the name of the person who would betray him. We...They knew who it was.

A grumbling around the table broke out, "Is it I Lord?" began to ring out about the men.

The Greek for the phrase "is it I" is the greek word "ego." I am always fond of a good pun and this is great, but it gives us deeper insight into what ego and spirituality have in common.

The ego is selfish, it is self centered, they were focused on whether or not they were capable of doing such a thing, rather than what God could do through them.

"An action void of God is ego, an intention without Christ is ego."

Rather than give the culprit up, I believe Jesus wanted to probe the hearts of these dedicated men.

So I ask you what if Jesus asked your church if one would betray him today. Would your mind race. If so your closer to grace, every decision should be christ-centered.
