A Pit,a Prison,a Palace Series

Summary: Many people are viewing the palace of life, forgetting the route. Anyone who wants to be great may see part of Joseph's experience. But at the end, the word of God must surely come to pass.
We see the journey of life by the experience of a young man, Joseph. He was a dreamer who re- write his family history and the whole covenant nation of Israel. Many people are viewing the palace of life, forgetting the route. Anyone who wants to be great may see part of Joseph's experience. But at the end, the word of God must surely come to pass.
“He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant: His feet they hurt with fetters: He was laid in chains of iron, Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of Jehovah tried him.The king sent and loosed him; Even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free. He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his substance; To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom”
A PIT- PART 1
Many a times, a person asks this question, why am I in this pit? It brings doubt towards the word of God and unbelief in a heart. Some searches are conducted over past life and guilt may surface, and then the enemy may convict but in all, God and the person a times know why he is in the pit.
What is a Pit?
A natural or artificial hole or cavity in the ground.
It signifies:
1. A miserable or depressing place or situation
2. It shows a tight corner
3. When one is in a pit, the heavens are more farer
4. A place one is incapacitated.
5. A place one is at the mercy of another. One who may help him out
6. A place of death or burial
7. A concealed danger or difficult.
Pit is of different shapes and sizes-
some lined, shallow or deep
Some Pit experiences may be as a result of ;
a. Conspiracy by people - Genesis 37:22
b. A test of faith - Genesis 37:22
c. Words of unfriendly friends - Job 6:27
d. The plot of the wicked - Psalms 57:6
e. The plan of the heathen - Psalms 9:15
f. Hidden net of the evil ones - Psalms 35:7
g. Sin & Circumstances - Psalms 40:2
h. Failed spirit - Psalms 143:7
I. Mouth of a strange women-Proverbs 22:14,23:27-28
j. Personal transgression - Proverb 26:27
h. Haters of good - Jeremiah 18:20-23
The story of Joseph was the picture of Christ Himself
a. Both were special.
b. Both were hated and rejected by their brethren.
c. Both were conspired against.
d. Both had the intent by their brethren to kill them
e. Both were sold to the hands of the heathens.
f. Both were almost sold the same price
g. Both entered into the water less pit.(Jesus went to Hades)
h. Both resurrected to reconcile.
I. Both had knees bowed to.
FINDING YOURSELF IN A PIT- WHY?
The actual reasons why people land into the pit of life varies but the basics are evident from the story of Joseph;
1. Being chosen as a heir can lead to a pit vs 3
The hidden truth is that if Rachael were favorite, her son were classified so. You don't need a man's approval for Gods agenda. Being loved may be an express way to the pit.
2. Being a dreamer can attract a pit
The world is looking for dreamers.
a. If you want your dreams to come true, don't over sleep
b. As you dream, dream again.
c. Your dream is you.
d. Your dream needs two things - courage and power
e. Dream excites your present and gets you into the future.
f, Dream needs carefulness and to manifest
3. The pattern and color of your coat may take you to a pit.
The coat of righteousness are hated by many who live wickedly.
This coat is not made by anyone but the father (God) alone
The enemy is after this coat, even Portiphar's wife.
4. Telling your dream to the wrong people can lead to a pit vs 5
Not everyone is going to be in tune with God as you are. Many people may oppose your direction. Remember,even Peter rebuked Christ when He mentioned His mission.
5. Your obedience may lead to a pit vs 13-20
Being obedient among jealous brethren can lead to a pit.
Not everyone is going to agree with Gods plan especially when they are in contradiction to their personal opinions.
BUT THE LIFE OF THE PIT IS NOT THE END, YOUR END WILL PROVE THE ENEMY WRONG. HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAM, FOR THE SOURCE IS STILL ALIVE. HE WILL MAKE SURE YOU REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
REMEMBER, YOU MAY BE IN THAT PIT ALSO BECAUSE OF SIN & LIFE OF INIQUITY.
