A RENEWED VISION OF THE LORD
ISAIAH 6: 1 – 8
HOW DO YOU SEE THE LORD?
IF WE ARE TO SEE GOD MOVE IN OUR LIVES IN THESE LAST DAYS THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT WE MUST RECOGNIZE AS BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR A MOVE OF GOD
#1 OLD TRADITIONS MUST BE BROKEN
#2 WELL ESTABLISHED BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES THAT FOR SOME TIME NOW HAVE BEEN SET ASIDE MUST BE REINSTATED
#3 A RENEWED VISION / REVELATION OF GOD
IT IS SAD TODAY HOW MANY PEOPLE VIEW GOD
FOR MANY TODAY THEIR REVELATION OF GOD CONSISTS OF NOTHING MORE THAN SOME STORY TOLD TO THEM OUT OF THE BIBLE
IT IS SAD TODAY BUT MANY MODERN DAY CHRISTIANS HAVE ETHER NEVER HAD OR LOST THEIR VISION OF GOD, AND OF CHRIST
CONSEQUENTLY THERE ARE MANY CHRISTIANS TODAY WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT, REBELLIOUS, TO THEM SUBMISSION TO GOD, A CHURCH, A PASTOR OR ANYONE ELSE IS A THING OF THE PAST
SADLY ENOUGH ALSO THEY NEVER SEE GOD MOVE IN THEIR LIVES ETHER
IF WE ARE TO SEE A MOVE OF GOD IN OUR LIVES TODAY WE MUST HAVE THE PROPER REVELATION OF GOD AS THE MOST HIGH GOD, AND OF CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR HIGH AND LIFTED UP
WE NEED TO BE LIKE MOSES IN
And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory.
HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE YOU WERE HUNGRY TO SEE THE GLORY OF GOD?
WHAT IS THE GLORY OF THE LORD?
THE GLORY OF THE LORD IS THE OUTWARD VISIBLE MANIFESTATION OF THE PRESENCE OF GOD
TOO MANY TIMES TODAY THE MODERN DAY CHRISTIAN WANTS TO SEE THE THINGS THAT GOD HAS DONE, BUT THEY NEVER HAVE A HUNGER TO SEE GOD HIMSELF
MANY WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE BENEFITS OF SALVATION BUT HAVE NO DESIRE TO SEE CHRIST
MANY WANT THE HOLY GHOST TO HELP THEM TO FEEL GOOD AND SHOUT LOUD, BUT THEY DON’T WANT THE HOLY GHOST TO TEACH THEM WHAT THEY ARE SHOUTING ABOUT
UNTIL WE SEE GOD AS OUR GOD NOT WHAT HE CAN DO FOR US WE WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE A GENUINE MOVE OF GOD IN OUR LIVES
I WANT TO SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD THE WAY THEY DID IN THE BIBLE
And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
EXODUS 40:34 – 35
Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
35And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
CAN WE SEE THAT TYPE OF OUTWARD MANIFESTATION OF THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD TODAY?
And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
WHAT WHERE ISAIAH AND HABAKKUK SPEAKING ABOUT IN REGARDS TO THE GLORY OF GOD?
THEY WERE SPEAKING NOT ONLY ABOUT PEOPLE HAVING A KNOWLEDGE THAT THE GLORY OF THE LORD EXISTED, BUT THAT THOSE WHO WANTED TO EXPERIENCE IT THE GLORY OF GOD WOULD BE REVEALED TO THEM, AND IT WOULD BE AS ABUNDANT AS THE WATERS OF THE SEAS
IF WE ARE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT ISAIAH AND HABAKKUK SPOKE ABOUT WE MUST COME TO THE PLACE WHERE WE CAN AND WILL HONESTLY ADMIT OUR SHORT COMINGS, AND LAY THEM ON THE ALTAR OF REPENTANCE
IF WE FAIL TO DO SO WE WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE A FRESH REVELATION OF GOD
IN ISAIAH 6:5 THE PROPHET SHOWS US
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
ISAIAH WAS A MAN WHO HEARD FROM GOD, AND EVEN SPOKE FOR GOD, BUT WHEN HE RECEIVED A FRESH REVELATION OF THE THRICE HOLY GOD HIS LIFE WAS NEVER THE SAME
WHEN WE HAVE A FRESH REVELATION OF WHO GOD IS WE LIKE ISAIAH WILL FALL ON OUR FACE BEFORE HIM AND CONFESS OUR SINS BEFORE HIM
WE NEED A FRESH REVELATION OF GOD REGULARLY
WE NEED ONCE AGAIN TO SEE OUR SAVIOR AS BEING HIGH AND LIFTED UP IN SPLENDOR AND GLORY, FULL OF POWER AND MIGHT, CONQUERING THE FORCES OF DARKNESS, AND GIVING US THE POWER AND ABILITY TO OVERCOME THE ENEMY OF OUR SOULS
