Megan: would like to read a poem…..

I bereave the thing that inspired us most about Sue life was here love for her three boys. Sue candle would never go out she worked hard and had a love for people. Sue was always there to listen, and would give you her advice when you asked for it.

On day when the boys were young she came home from work and couldn’t find her youngest son Milton “ When she asked her oldest boys where he was Sue discovered that Milton had been taped in the toy box because he wouldn’t leave his older brother alone. And being the good mother she was he made sure it never happened again.

Sue loved to dance and go to the lake on the family pontoon boat. Sue lived life to the fullest.

He was baptized at University Baptist Church in Norman, and she loved the Lord Jesus Christ.

I had an opportunity to visit with her before she went to meet the Lord. From what I under stand Sue hadn’t spoken in a few days, but when I arrived and opened my little Bible Sue began to speak with we. She was a firm believer in The Salvation Found Only in Jesus Christ because Sue professed Jesus as her Lord and Savior to me.

This poem I would like to read for you that adorns her home

Footprints in the Sand - Poem

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,

other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed

that during the low periods of my life,

when I was suffering from

anguish, sorrow or defeat,

I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you,

you would walk with me always.

But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life

there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.

Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,

“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,

is when I carried you.”

If Sue could speak to you now, I believe she would say, “ Dear friends and family please listen to every word that my brother Jesse is about to speak, for if you listen and hear the call I will see you here in Heaven with me a place to wonderful for anyone to describe”.

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

You see if the LORD JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD you will not want for anything (joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, gentalness.

If JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD you’ll lie down in green pastures, he will lead you beside still water.

If JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD He’ll restore your soul. . . and lead you into paths of righeousness for his name’s sake.

And if THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD—when you walk were Allen has walked that valley of the shadow of death--- you won’t fear evil---JESUS WILL BE RIGHT THERE WITH YOU—comforting you and guiding you home to heaven to be with Him.

IF JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD---he’ll prepare you a table in the presence of your enemies…

IF JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD---he’ll anoint your head with oil YOUR CUP WILL RUN OVER.

IF JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPHERD---Goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IF JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SHEPERD----you will dwell in His house---forever.

My friends—today is the day to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. If my Sister Sue were here she would tell you “”””don’t wait”””

The Bible says “the wages of sin is death”. I hate sin so much because of what it is doing to all of us. We are dieing a little every day---
