E. Cain did not accept this belief but believed that he could be acceptable to God with the work of his own hands because of his hard work and because he worshipped and gave offerings to God.

C. Numbers 22:1 (quickview) ff

D. Baalam is an example of a false teacher who becomes worldly seeking possessions, acceptance, and security leads God?s people into sin.

E. Revelation 2:14 (quickview)  "But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication."

D. Numbers 16:9-11 (quickview)  "Does it seem but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? [10] And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also? [11] For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron that ye murmur against him?"
